UM Project designs and makes unusual goods.
In 2004 François Chambard started UM Project, a furniture design studio with a special interest in connecting Users and Makers. Over the years the work increasingly integrated technology, yielding projects, experiments and unusual goods that bridged function and fiction.
François earned a master’s degree at Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE), NL, studied furniture design for one year at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), USA, and obtained a bachelor’s degree from KEDGE Business School in Marseille, France.
François shares his time between Brooklyn and Vermont, USA and regularly travels to Europe.
